Road Trip!

So for the past week Eric and I have been on a massive road trip around the states! We left Monday from Utah and got to Colorado the next day. We stayed with a friend, Tara, for the night, then left to stay with my biological father the next day. It was so great to see him and my two half brothers. We had an amazing time and we definitely plan on visiting again soon.

Then started the looong trip to Texas. It took about 19 hours but we eventually got here. The week has been good and today was our last day.

We leave in a couple of hours so I need to get to sleep. Goodnight readers!

Lagoon

Eric, Boston, Katie, Jacob and I all went to Lagoon yesterday! Ugh it was SO much fun. We were there from 12 pm-10pm, literally all day. It was completely worth it too. We went on every single ride, and since we live in Mormon Utah, and it was Sunday, hardly anyone was there. Maximum wait time for a ride? 30 minutes. The lines were short, it was amazing. The weather was perfect. For a mid day snack we got a chicken strip combo from Arby's, and being the gentleman that he is, Eric paid for me. Towards the end of the day, we had the most amazing funnel cake in the world. I can not express to you enough, my love for funnel cakes. It had whipped cream, powdered sugar, and strawberries, just the way it's meant to be. I definitely plan on going back in the near future. It was a great day to end a great weekend. Now all that's left is a week of school, and next week Eric and I will be on a car ride back home!

Liberty Park

Eric and I took a trip out to Salt Lake, a little bit near Murray and visited Liberty Park on Saturday. We went with the school, but it was still a nice getaway from our room mates (who I can no longer stand). We went ice blocking which is sitting on a bit ice block and sliding down a hill on it. It was exhilarating! I would definitely do that again. We also went canoeing which was great, because it was a semi hot day, and the water was nice and cool. We played some bocce ball, and ate great sandwiches.

KandiLand

I finished my bra last week, but I'm FINALLY posting it up!
It fits perfectly, which I love. I'm still a bit concerned about a nip slip, but I have some awesome Pokeball pasties that I'll totally wear underneath. It makes me feel a lot safer wearing the bra. I also started making cuffs as well! Here's a kitty cuff that I made for myself:

And since Eric loves penguins so much I made him a penguin cuff as well!
The penguin one is actually the first one that I made, and I'm pretty darn proud of myself because it's so good! I had also made one this weekend for a friend called Lincoln, and he paid me $5 for it! Which got me wondering whether or not someone would buy a cuff off of me. So if you would, it would be greatly appreciated if you commented below saying if you would or wouldn't. I would plan on selling them for maybe $3-$5 depending on the design, and trust me, I can do A LOT of designs.

Kandi Bra

So I love love love love  love beading! It's one of my favorite activities to do. This week I'm doing a kandi bra! It's basically a bra made entirely out of beads! It's pretty simple so far, and all I've been using is the peyote stitch. I have one side done and I'm somewhat leading towards the back already, but I've stopped and I'm going to start making the other side of the bra first. This is a bit before I had stopped.
It looks great so far! I think I may run out of purple beads but then again this is just a test, so I can feel comfortable when I'm making an actual one that I'll wear. I used Glow in the Dark Pony Beads and some regular purple beads that you can buy off of Hobby Lobby for under $3, elastic .7 mm string that you can buy at WalMart and a lighter to melt ends together when you've run out of the string you were using. It's really simple so far and maybe I'll do a step by step tutorial on how to make one!
